Chocolate Indulgences
Check out our newest flavor in the Winnipesaukee Chocolates line, Sap House Cove, dark chocolate with maple sugar chunks - we get our Maple Syrup from Top of the Hill Farm in Wolfeboro where the sap is gathered and boiled by Eric Fredrickson who is set to graduate this spring and is heading off to agricultural college in the fall, and the dominant chocolate comes from the Kallari Association, a cooperative of the Kichwa peoples of the Ecuadorian Amazon who banded together to preserve their land and their way of life - check out their web site for more information about the Association and the wonderful chocolate they produce.
We have a new label in the Winnipesaukee line as well: Becky's Garden, a dark chocolate with sour cherries. It is the same as the White Mountains' Mount Washington bar, but we wanted to name something for Becky's Garden because it is such a great story.
We have also added two new bars to the White Mountains Chocolates line, Mount Pemigewasset, dark milk chocolate with cashews and golden raisins, and Mount Lafayette, dark chocolate with blueberries and pine nuts.
We have a Honey/Lavender caramel and a Ginger caramel both made with local ingredients (except for the chocolate and the sugar obviously) on the Dragees, etc. page. We also have Peanut Butter Melt Aways (to satisfy my craving for Reese's) and a savory Thai version with garlic, cayenne, tamari and lime which is quite surprising.
