Down a clearly marked trail off of Route 16, at the bottom of a long series of stone steps and shrouded in an ethereal mist, you will find the base of Glen Ellis Falls, one of the jewels of Pinkham Notch. Plunging over the headwall of an ancient glacial valley, the Ellis River drops nearly 64 feet creating one of the tallest and most dramatic waterfalls in the White Mountains.
